B2B services · a different industry, the same playbook

A 64 on mobile, rebuilt into an engine that answers.

Elevator Insight reviews the proposals building owners get from elevator companies and tells them what is fair. The business was strong. The WordPress site was heavy and slow, and it was not built to be found by the AI a facilities manager now asks first. We rebuilt it on Next.js and gave it a blog engine that writes itself.

The problem

Elevator Insight is a buy-side advisor. Founder Daniel Van Mil spent 24 years inside the elevator industry, then turned around to help building owners read the proposals those companies send. The offer is specific and the credibility is real.

The site was the weak link. It ran on WordPress with the Cornerstone page builder and Gravity Forms, and it scored 64 on mobile Lighthouse, with a first-contentful-paint of 4.8 seconds and a largest-contentful-paint of 6.0 seconds. Heavy, slow, and not structured for the AI a property manager now asks before making a call.

What we built

The build, step by step.

  1. 01

    A rebuild on Next.js 16

We moved the site off WordPress onto Next.js 16 with a self-hosted type stack, App Router, and lazy-loaded imagery, targeting a 90-plus mobile Lighthouse and a sub-two-second largest paint. The same speed and structure that make a site fast make it readable to answer engines.

  2. 02

Twenty authority guides, written to be cited

Twenty hand-authored guides answer the exact questions owners ask, from reading a maintenance contract to knowing what a modernization should cost. Each one leads with the answer, marks its FAQs in schema, and links to the productized review.

  3. 03

A daily blog engine that writes itself

An autonomous engine publishes one post a day using Claude Sonnet, drawn from a queue of owner questions. It enforces plain English, correct vendor names, a not-legal-advice line on contract topics, and a professional-opinion disclaimer, then pings IndexNow so the post is discoverable fast.

  4. 04

A funnel around a real offer

The site is built to sell one clear thing: a flat-rate $499 written proposal review, with an optional negotiate-on-your-behalf service at 11 percent of what it saves. Every guide and every post points there.

The same autonomous engine behind AutoAuthority, proving the playbook holds outside real estate.

The outcome

The rebuild takes a slow WordPress site that scored 64 on mobile and turns it into a fast, structured Next.js property with 20 citable guides and a blog engine that compounds on its own. The speed budget and the schema are the same things that make the pages legible to AI.

It is the clearest proof that the AutoAuthority approach is not real-estate specific. Different industry, different buyer, same result: a business that was invisible to answer engines is now built to be the answer.
